How Much Does Driveway Leveling Cost? (Oklahoma City, 2026)

What it costs to lift a sunken driveway in the OKC metro, foam against mudjacking, priced by panel and by job, plus the extras that show up on a quote.

By OKC Driveway Repair Co. · Updated

Short answer: Driveway leveling costs about $3 to $6 per square foot for mudjacking and $6 to $15 per square foot for polyurethane foam in Oklahoma City in 2026. Most jobs lift one to three panels and total $600 to $3,000. Panel size, the depth of the drop, void size and joint sealing decide where yours lands.

OKC Driveway Repair Co. lifts sunken driveway panels across the Oklahoma City metro, and this guide shows what driveway leveling costs and why. The two methods are priced very differently, and the right one depends on the soil under your slab as much as on budget. For a full comparison of how they work, see our foam leveling vs mudjacking guide.

Driveway leveling cost by method

Method Per sq ft (OKC, 2026) One 10 × 10 panel Drive on it
Mudjacking (cement slurry) $3 – $6 $300 – $600 About 24 hours
Polyurethane foam $6 – $15 $600 – $1,500 About 1 hour

Published national figures sit around the same bands. HomeServe puts foam leveling at roughly $5 to $25 per square foot. Inch Calculator’s 2026 guide prices a 100-square-foot lift at about $2,000 to $2,500 with foam against $300 to $800 with mudjacking. Most contractors also charge a minimum per visit, because the setup is the same for one panel as for three.

What a typical job costs

Job Typical area Mudjacking Foam
One panel at the garage 100 sq ft $300 – $600 $600 – $1,500
Two panels and a walkway square 200 sq ft $600 – $1,200 $1,200 – $3,000
Three panels along a drive 300 sq ft $900 – $1,800 $1,800 – $4,500

Most Oklahoma City leveling jobs land between $600 and $3,000, because most involve one to three panels.

What moves the price

  1. Depth of the drop. A panel that sank an inch needs far less material than one that dropped three.
  2. Void size. A hollow under the slab has to be filled before the panel rises. Large voids from washouts can double the material.
  3. Soil. Much of the metro sits on red clays like the Kirkland series, which the USDA rates high for shrink-swell. Soft, wet clay favors foam, because heavy mudjacking slurry can add to the settling.
  4. Joint sealing. Sealing the joints after the lift adds $3 to $6 per linear foot and is what keeps water from undoing the work.
  5. Access and minimums. Trailer access, distance from the curb, and the per-visit minimum all show up on small jobs.

What a leveling quote should include

  • The method and why. Foam or mudjacking, with a reason tied to your soil and drop.
  • Hole size and patching. ⅝ inch for foam, about 1½ inches for mudjacking, and how they will be patched.
  • Target grade. How level, and against what: the garage floor, the next panel or the street.
  • Joint sealing. As a line item, not an afterthought.
  • The cause. Downspouts, grading or a leaking line that sank the slab, with a note on fixing it.

When leveling isn’t the right spend

Panels broken into several pieces, slabs pinned under the lip of the garage floor, and drops caused by washouts with large voids are usually better replaced than lifted. Lifting a cracked panel can split it further. Our driveway sinking at garage page explains the garage case, and washout repair covers voids. If more than about a third of the drive has failed, compare against replacement cost.

Bottom line

Expect $3 to $6 per square foot for mudjacking and $6 to $15 for foam in Oklahoma City, or $600 to $3,000 for most jobs. Make sure joint sealing and the cause are on the quote. For a measured price on your panels, call (405) 442-4044 or see driveway leveling.

Related questions

Is leveling cheaper than replacing a sunken panel?

Usually. Lifting a 10-by-10 panel with foam costs about $600 to $1,500, while replacing the same panel with dowels runs about $800 to $1,300 plus a week before you can drive on it. Leveling wins when the panel is intact; replacement wins when it is broken or the soil underneath needs to be dug out.

Why is foam leveling more expensive than mudjacking?

The material costs more and the equipment is specialized. In return, foam weighs only a few pounds per cubic foot, needs smaller ⅝-inch holes, and carries a car within about an hour. On soft Oklahoma clay, its light weight also makes it less likely to settle again.

Do I need to seal the joints after leveling?

Yes, and it should be on the quote. Open joints let rain wash out the base that was just filled, which is the most common reason a lifted panel drops again. Joint sealing typically adds $3 to $6 per linear foot.
